Claire Clivaz (Lausanne) is the first President of the ANHW CH DSG for the period 2020-2022. She is eager to start this DSG with Julie Bertolus (Geneva), Monika Brodman Maeder (Bern) and Swan Lu (Zurich) in the board.
She feels in debt to the Harvard spirit and to the Harvard Divinity School where she has been visiting scholar with a SNSF grant in 2003-2004. Promotting Harvard values for Alumni/ae in Switzerland, and for women in particular, is an inspiring task for her.
Claire Clivaz is Head of Digital Humanities +, an internal group at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (Lausanne), where she has got a position in 2015, after seven years as assistant and invited professor at the University of Lausanne (full CV here). She leads forefront projects at the crossroad of New Testament manuscripts research and Digital Humanities, like the SNSF projet MARK16, about the enigma of the end of the Gospel according to Mark. She is also involved in the European DH research, in the EU research infrastructures DARIAH and OPERAS.
